£24,000 Claim Settled
IN.Z. Press Association) INVERCARGILL, June 7. A claim for £24,000 by the widow and three children of a man kilted in a motor accident in 1960 was settled out of court before the case resumed in the Supreme Court at Invercargill today. The widow and children had claimed the money through Perpetual Trustees against the Public Trustee, as executor of the estate of William A. Ormond, the driver of th“ other car.
Thomas Douglas Wilson Bath, aged 39. died three days after the accident in which his car collided head-on with Ormond’s.
Mr Justice Henry heard the case.
