Alleged Assault By Policeman
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 24.
Inquiries were being made into allegations in the Magistrate’s Court at Lower Hutt yesterday that a young man had been assaulted by the police in the Upper Hutt Police Station, said the officer in charge of the Wellington police district (Chief Superintendent G. A. Howes) today.
