Field Root Contest
A field root competition was held by the Methven Agricultural and Pastoral Association on Monday and Tuesday. There were 37 entries.
Results were:— Swedes (18 entries): Weir Bros. 1. R. Maw 2, Wilson Bros 3. Five acres of pasture for winter feed (6): E. A. Mangin 1. J. T. Goodwin 2, P. Holmes 3. One acre of chou moellier (4): R. Maw 1. H. Amberger 2 and 3.
Five acres of greenfeed (6): Wilson Bros. 1. Lackner 2. P Holmes 3.
Turnips and grass (J): J. Harmer 1, J. T. Goodwin 2. Turnips (3): R Holmes 1, Wilson Bros. 2. T. G. Callaghan S.
