Viticulture
Sir, —Heathcote Valley was for many years the vinegrowjng area for wine-mak-ing in Canterbury. Why not terrace for viticulture again in our only true outdoor Canterbury hot - house? Grapes are health promoters and very expensive, even for hospital patients. North
Islanders can live on cheap grapes from their own local vines. Why not cultivate vines in the sunny hillside valley?—Yours, etc., NATURE’S BOUNTY. May 22. 1962.
