MINOR FIRES

The wiring of the switchboard at Skellerup Sales, Ltd.. 138 Lichfield street, was badly damaged by fire about 9.30 a.m. yesterday. Two engines and a turntable ladder from the Central station attended the fire. The building itself was not' damaged.

Slight damage was done when a small fire broke out in a workshop of Walkers Service Station, Ltd., 108 Picton avenue. Riccarton, about 645 a.m. One engine from Central and one from Sockburn attended. An oven fire in a house at 346 Greers road. Harewood, was extinguished by one engine from St. Albans. The fire started about 2.50 p.m and caused slight damage The occupier of the house is Mr J. B. Ritchie.
