; The Minister of Labour | <Mr Shand) left Wellington ; yesterday on a five-week tour of several European countries. —<P.A.) Mr T Bloodworth, chairman of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board, visited the Christchurch Drainage Board last evening. He is in Christchurch to attend ’he conference of the Milk Authorities’ Association as chairman of the Auckland Metropolitan Milk Board. Mr L. J. McDonald, of Christchurch, has been admitted to membership of the New Zealand Institute of Cost Accountants with the status of associate. Mr D. C. Hughes, the Christchurch Drainage Board’s electrical and mechanical engineer for the last seven years, has resigned to take up a new appointment from the end of July
Mr Paul Pascoe has been ejected a fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects Mr M. R. Carter, a city councillor, will leave today for a visit to Britain and Europe. The Christchurch Drainage Board last evening passed a motion of sympathy with the relatives of Mr W. S. MacGibbon.
