Profit More Than Doubled * "The Press" Special Service HAMILTON, May 21. The Waikato Savings Bank made a profit before taxation in the year ended March 31 of £23.655. more than twice the profit ‘made in the previous year After taxation of £11,827. the net profit was £11.828. Presenting the third annual report to the board of trustees, the president (Mr A. L. Tomkins) said depositors’ balances now- stood at £3 million, an increase of more than £1.5 million. The number of depositors had risen by more than 5000 to about 12,500. Mr Tomkins said the bank now had more than £.i million invested in Government stock and £250.000 in local body stock.
