Post Office Promotions
The following Post Office appointments were announced yesterday.
Mr M. G. Hall and Mr S. Tanner, senior clerks in the clerical branch, are promoted to the positions of supervisor, clerical branch. Christchurch Mr J. M. Kinraid, senior clerk. Nelson, is promoted to the position of supervisor, clerical branch. Christchurch, and Mr R. A. Gibson, of Timaru is appointed to a similar position. The position of postmaster, Sumner, vacant after the recent retirement of Mr W. D. M. Jamieson, has been filled by the transfer of Mr A. R. Tucker, at present postmaster at Takapau The present postmaster at Edendale, Mr D. R. Jbwler, Ls transferred to Woolston.
