(.42. Press Association) NELSON, April 15. Luckv View hung in soon after the start in he Novice Stakes at Nelson i». Saturday, reported the stipendiary steward. Mr H. B. Lorigan. Lucky View's rider, W. D Skelton, said he was in difficulties throughout trying to get his mount away from the running rail, and was not able to ride him out at all in the straight. Skelton’s statement confirmed the official observation, and no further action was taken. Delyric, ridden by R. W Donovan, whipped round when the barrier was released and lost much ground. In the Golden Bay Hack Handicap. Diamond Princess, ridden bv B S Finlayson, whipped round when the barrier was released and took little part in the race.
