Pilot Unhurt In Crash
IN.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 15. A topdressing pilot escaped with cuts and bruises when his Fletcher aircraft crashed and caught fire after takeoff on Limestone Downs. 12 miles south of Port Waikato, yesterdav. The pilot. Mr R. J. Wallace. of Bruce place. Papatoetoe. had just taken off with his thirteenth load for the day when his aircraft lost lift and hit rough ground. The plane somersaulted and caught fire. It was a complete write-off.
