WOMAN DIES AT 100

Miss Agnes Sophia Bussell died in Timaru yesterday, aged 100 years. A patient in the Timaru Hospital since September, 1901. Miss Bussell was born at Ashcombe, Devon, the third of the 12 children of the late Mr and Mrs J. Bussell, who landed in Timaru from the vessel. Merope, in 1875.
For 30 years she was a milliner in Timaru after spending her early years with her parents, who farmed at Sutherlands and Hunter. Miss Bussell became a resident of the Margaret Wilson Home for the Elderly in 1958.
