The winner of the 50 mile road race, the New Zealand Olympic marathon representative, J. Julian, being congratulated by the president of the New Brighton Businessmen’s Association, Mr F. Grade, after the race last Saturday. The association provided a handsome trophy for the winner as well as trophies for all those who finished the course.
