SENIOR SCOUT INSTRUCTION

Course On Mount Enys A mountaineering instruction course for 64 senior scouts and 10 scout leaders will be held in the Lake Lyndon area during the week-end. Five members of the Canterbury Mountaineering Club and other instructors will teach the scouts the techniques of safe climbing. On Saturday the scouts will be divided into parties for instruction and climb Mount Enys (7200 ft On Sunday, they will be instructed in rock climbing and rope technique by members of the club. The scouts will leave Christchurch tonight and return on Sunday evening.
