KENNEL DOGS

An innovation at tihe Oxford Show last year was tire championship show held by the North Canterbury Kennel Dog Association, who will hold a similar show tomorrow. Challenge certificates won at tihe kennel show count towards eight awards a dog must win before qualifying for the title of champion. There has been an excellent response to the kennel association’s events for which there are 280 entries, for 124 dogs representing 48 breeds.

Both the kennel association and the Agricultural and Pastoral Association officers expressed pleasure at the success of the events last year, when they were a popular draw with spectators.

The kennel dogs will be paraded by their ownesr in an arena to the left of the drive in from Bay road, backing on to the main ground.
