USES OF SPACE
Agreement At U.N. (NJE. Press Asm.—CoppriphO NEW YORK, March 29. The Vnited States and the Soviet Union have agreed on a future course of action for the Vnited Nations Committee on Peaceful Uses of Outer Spaee, the Associated Press reported. The agreement earre in private talks ycsterdav between the heads of the United States and Soviet delegations as space experts from the two countries held the second of a series of daily meetings to work out the basis for co-operation on space projects. Informed diplomats said the United States chief delegate, Mr Francis Plimpton, and his Soviet counterpart Mr Platon Morozov, agreed on these points: The United Nations committee should not operate npace project* of its own but co-ordinate those of other agencies, such as the Committee on Space Research of the International Council of Scientific Unions. The committee should set up two sub-committees for legal and technical aspect* of the space problem. These sub-committee* *hould meet in May for study sessions.
