THE LAST RESTING PLACE OF ROBERT FALCON SCOTT.—The fiftieth anniversary of the deaths of Captain Scott and his party on their return from the South Pole will be observed in Christchurch this morning by a ceremony at the Scott statue. The snow cairn shown in this photograph was erected over the polar party’s tent about 140 miles from Hut Point. It marked the last resting place of Captain Scott, Dr. E. A. Wilson, and Lieutenant H. R, Bowers.
