Two old friends of mine in Sumner who were vegetarians and non-smokers died of cancer. It can't be all the same cancer, or from the same cause.—Yours, etc.. B. M MacLEOD. March 26, 1962. [Mr L A. Bennett, chairman at toe Canterbury-West-land branch of the British Empire Cancer Campaign Society, said that lung cancer was a form orf cancer. "Research was bemg done all over the world as to why many people got cancer. Vegetarians and non-smokers unfortunately dad suffer from lung cancer at times. Possibly the pamphlet published by the society on danger signals of cancer would help the correspondent. It could be obtained from most chemists.]
