Hockey Tournament For Shield
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. March 27. The Auckland Hockey Association win seek a return to tournament play for the New Zealand Hockey Shield, at present competed for on a challenge basis.
The management committee tonight approved a remit to the annual meeting of the national body, which required that the tournament be played each year at a fixed period and that an equalisation account be set up to pool travelling costs of all teams.
A suggestion that the present challenge games be played to a draw was not followed up..
