TRIALS AT ADDINGTON
Au Fait Among Entries
Au Fait, Aldora and Lookaway, which will race at the Easter meeting at Addington before leaving for the United States, will be seen in action ait Addington today in trials conducted by the Canterbury Trotting Owners’ and Breeders' Association.
Au Fait, a trotter, will run against the 3min 45sec class pacers in a mile and five furlongs event, to start at 11.40 a.m. Au Fait will start from 60 vards.
Aldora and Lookaway, both of which have been entered for the £1750 Easter Cup a-s well as other events at Addington, will both run in the second heat of the pacers’ free-for-all, to start at 2.20 p.m.
Another top-class entry in the second heat of the free-for-all is the three-year-old. Lordship. Lordship’s Easter nominations also include the Easter Cup, as well as two £l3OO races, the Rattray Handicap on the first day and the Williams Handicap on the second.
The trials today will start with an event for 3min 56sec class trotters at 11 a.m. and will end with an event for two-ye.ar-olds, the first heat of which will start at 2.40 p.m.
Entries in the later event, which has been divided into three heats, include Vantago, which ran second to Landlord in the Two-year-old Stakes at Methven on Saturday. and Torana, which was third.
