Townswomen Of Ricarton
The annual meeting of the Riccanton Townswomen’s Guild was held recently. Mrs J. Fowler presided and Mrs F. Pheloung, representative of the Dominion Executive and Area Federation was welcomed as a special guest. Officers elected were.— President, Mrs V. Brundall; secretary, Mrs H. Weatherhead; treasurer. Mrs C. Ross; committee, Mesdam.es A. Black, J. Christian, M. Fisher, C. Holmes, H. Powell, M. Reese, D. Stephens, J. Sweeney, F. Westgarth, G. Sansom; conveners, Mrs F. Westgarth (arts and crafts), Mesdames H. Powell and M. Fisher (garden circle), Mrs M. Jacques (civics) and Mrs J. Christian (choir). Competition winners for year.—Large bloom, small bloom, and cooking, Mrs M. Fisher; needlework, Mrs A. Black.
