Bowls Championship Draws

The championship singles competition will begin on Saturday on the St. Albans greens at 9 a.m. Representatives of the fololwtng clubs will report at 9 am.:—Cashmere. Sumner, Leeston, Morrison Avenue, St. Martins, South Brighton, Sydenham. Ashburton, Cheviot, Spreydon. Rakaia. Amberley, Elmwood, Mona Vale, Kaiapoi W.M.C., Mount Pleasant, Shirley, Beckenham. Girl Injured. Lynette Joyce Purdon, aged 16, a cyclist, of 117 Wordsworth street, suffered bruises to her back when she was involved in a collision with a car at the intersection of Hagley avenue and Riccarton avenue at 755 am. yesterday. She was treated at the Christchurch Hospital and sent home.
