Bowls Championship Draws
The championship singles competition will begin on Saturday on the St. Albans greens at 9 a.m. Representatives of the fololwtng clubs will report at 9 am.:—Cashmere. Sumner, Leeston, Morrison Avenue, St. Martins, South Brighton, Sydenham. Ashburton, Cheviot, Spreydon. Rakaia. Amberley, Elmwood, Mona Vale, Kaiapoi W.M.C., Mount Pleasant, Shirley, Beckenham. Klrwee. Sheffield, Halsweli. Barrington, United, Riccarton Racecourse, and Burwood. The fotolwing will report for play at 10.45 am.:—Papanui, Allenton, Fendalton, Mayfield, Onawa, Woolston W.M.C.. Girl Injured. Lynette Joyce Purdon, aged 16, a cyclist, of 117 Wordsworth street, suffered bruises to her back when she was involved in a collision with a car at the intersection of Hagley avenue and Riccarton avenue at 755 am. yesterday. She was treated at the Christchurch Hospital and sent home.
