QUEENSLAND FLOODS
Heavy Sheep Losses (N.Z. Press Assn.—CoptrfeM) BRISBANE. Mar. 20 Graziers in south-west Queensland estimate that the recent floods in the Goon dr.windi area cost them more than 5000 sheep. The chairman of the United Graziers’ Association (Mr R Cameron) said most of toe losses were north of Goondiwindi, w<here up to Ilin of rain was recorded in the lari two weeks
Apart from drown inss. many recently-shorn sheep died from exposure, Mr Cameron said that, although the rain had stopped, thousands of sheen were still stranded by floodwater If they were not reached and treated, many would die within 10 days from disease.
