MERGING OF HOLIDAYS

Decision By Schools ( N.z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 20. Some Wellington boarding colleges are to bring their May holiday forward and to take one break—from Easter. This year Easter comes late, and two days after it there is another holiday, Anzac Day. Under normal circumstances pupils living away from home would have to return to college for about 10 days and then make another journey home for the term holidays. This year both Scots and Marsden colleges are to bring their term holidays forward to start at Easter, and pupils of Scots will return to school on May 15 Marsden pupils will have a break from April 19 to Mav 17

Wellington College is not doing this. The headmaster. Mr H A. Herron, said today it had not been discussed by the board. “It would make for a very long second term for pupils,” he said.
