Marching CHRISTCHURCH TEAM WINS AT OAMARU

OAMARU. March 18. The favourite, Philips Hi-Z (Chriatchurcb), won the Oamaru Marching Association's senior chtaznp&ondhip at the Oamaru Show Grounds yesterday. Glencairn (Dunedin) was runner-up, and Blair Athol (Dunedin) took third place. Thirty-seven teams took part. Centres from Invercargill to Christchurch were represented. Mosgiel Kilties won the junior championship, after a tussle with Caroline Kilties (Timaru). The midge* section was won byZodiac (Timaru).

The meeting ended with a massed march and the presentation of trophies by the Mayoress of Oamaru (Mrs W. R Laney).
