SUSPENSION OF RIDER

Remission Bv Conference

<N.Z. Press Association)

WELLINGTON, March 19. The executive committee of the New Zealand Racing Conference has remitted the balance of the life disqualification imposed on R. L. Collett, a jockey, of Hamilton. Collett was disqualified for life on September 12, 1951, by the executive committee, having been found guilty of complicity in connexion with the running of hurdle races in the Auckland and Waikato districts. At the same time D. MacKinnon, a leading hurdle rider, was disqualified for life and four other jockeys were disqualified for lesser periods, which have now expired. The suspension of MacKinnon remains in force.
