Boxing LICENCE REVOKED

Decision On C. Stewart tN Z Press Assoctattonl WELLINGTON. March 19. The New Zealand Boxing Council has revoked the licence of the Australian light-heavy-weight champion Clive Stewart, on medical grounds. The decision means Stewart will no longer be able to fight in this country. The chairman (Mr H. N. Hunt) said today that the council had obtained medical opinion on Stewart’s condition, and reports of examinations had been discussed at length by the council last Thursday night. Asked this morning to comment on the decision. Stewart said he was not concerned. There were plenty of other countries if he wanted to fight, though he had no plans about leaving New Zealand.
