EXPORT MEAT
Lamb Prices Raised
Export schedule prices for lamb were increased yesterday. The increases on woolly lambs range from id per lb tor prime lambs under 281 b to Id per lb for lambs over 361 b. The deficiency payment has been reduced from Ud per lb to Jd per lb on all grades. The combined effect of these changes is to reduce the premium paid for lightweight lambs. Prime woolly lambs actually return the producer Jd per lb less than in the previous schedule, effective since January 29; 29-361 b lambs are unchanged and heavier lambs are id up. For second quality woolly lambs and for prime shorn under 281 b lambs the gross return is down Jd and for second quality shorn lambs under 281 b the gross return is down id.
