Workman Struck By Truck

Mr A. I. Denston, aged 40, a Ministry of Works workman, suffered leg injuries when he was hit by a truck while working in Moorhouse avenue, near Manchester street, about 1.10 p.m. yesterday. Mr Denston, whose address is 38 Division street, Riccarton, was taken to Christchurch Hospital and after treatment in the orthopaedic department w.as admitted. He was operated on and his condition last evening was reported as satisfactory.
