West Coast
The Canterbury-West Coart Fire Brigades’ Association a competition* were held at Reefton under ideal weather conditions on Saturday. Twentyeight teams competed, 11 from the West Coast and 17 from Canterbury. The results were as follow, Laying line of hose, disabled; New Brighton 1, time, <l2; Kumars f 52 4; Banner 3 «2£; Hokitika 4. 64 4. Twenty-seven teams competed. Hose and standpipe with breeching: Sumner 1, 50 5; Kumara 2, NJ; Darfield 3. 54.4; Geraldine 1, 54 5. Twentyeight teams competed. Four-man trailer pump: Kumara 1 453; Sumner t. 46 7: Hokitika 4. 47.6; Westport 4. 615 . Twenty-eight team* competed.
Four-man motor disabled: Sumner | JM; Kumara 1. Uaac; Westport 4. 56*ec Cobden 4. 56 4. Twenty-seven team* competed. Trailer pump with breeching: L 37*ec; Greymouth 2, 38 3; Reefton 4. 46 3; Cobden 4. Point*: West Coast 144 Canterbury 121.
