ELECTORATE CHANGES

Otahuhu To Appeal ( N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. March 18 The Otahuhu Borough Council would almost certainly appeal against the proposal oi the Representation Commission to divide the borough between the constituencies of Manukau and Pakuranga, said Mr J. D. Murdoch, Mayor of Otahuhu, tonight. “I was disgusted when I learned of the proposal to run the boundary through the middle of the town," he said “Otahuhu is one of the old outposts of Auckland. I am sure the council will protest about this cutting a community in two." Mr Murdoch said he realised the commission had to adjust boundaries to make up the number of people in each constituency. “I would certainly object strongly to the change of name to Pakuranga, a relatively small area," he said.
