Programme

The national conference of school committees has a solid programme for the next four days. It will be at work from 9.30 a.m. until 10 p.m. today: all day Saturday; and most of Monday. For delegates’ wives (or husbands, since some delegates are women) there will be a theatre party this evening. A conducted tour of the Botanic Gardens will be held tommorrow morning and a bus tour of the city in the afternoon, and these visitors will join delegates for a concert and social at the Teachers’ College in the evening.

On Sunday there will be an excursion to Akaroa. where the local school committee and P.T.A, will be hosts. Members of the conference have been invited to attend the Christchurch Cathedral on Sunday evening when the Bishop (the Rt. Rev. A. KWarren) will spesjk.
