Suggestions by Sir Wavell Wakefield for reducing the number of line-outs and bringing more attacking movements into Rugby football are to be tested on a Cambridge university ground on March 22. when a team led by R. Jeeps, England captain, meets one selected by the president of Cambridge. Whenever the ball is kicked into touch on the full between the two 25-yard lines, the non-offending side will have the right to throw it backwards to any member of its own team. The number of line-outs is expected to be reduced from the average of 80 per game to 60 or fewer. Some of the negative play following lineouts is also likely to be cut out

Forces Cup Won Again (Special Crspdt. N.Z.P.A.) HONG KONG, March 8. For the third successive year a battalion from the New Zealand Regiment has won the Far East land Forces Rugby Union Cup. The regiment’s Ist Battalion, now stationed tri Malacca, Malaya, yesterday beat the Ist Battalion Royal Warwickshire Regiment 24-13 in the cup final.

New Zealand scorers were Haitana, of Hokitika, a try: Delemere. of Waiotapu. a try; Christie, of Opotiki, a conversion; Tataurangi, of Ratana Pa. Wanganui, one try. two conversions, one penalty goal; Savage. of Kopu, Thames, a try; and Collins, of Gisborne, a try.
