LITERARY GRANTS
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 8. Grants from the Literary Fund, made on the recommendation of the Literary Fund Advisory Committee, were announced today by the Minister of Internal Affairs (Mr Gotzi. They are: Pegasus Press, Christchurch—£3oo and £125 to assist publication of “Poetry Yearbook,” and publication of “Dawn and Trumpets,” a book of verse by S. Slater. Price Milburn, Welling-ton—-£175 to assist publication of “The End of the Golden Weather,” a literary monologue by Bruce Mason, which has been successfully produced on the stage by the author. Pauls Book Arcade. Hamilton—£7s to help meet the cost of publishing “Inheritance,” a book of verse by Kendrick Smithyman. Charles Brasch, Dunedin—£4oo to assist publication of the literary periodical. “Landfall.” New Zealand Women Writers' Society—£2s to assist their work in promoting literature.
