Mouth-to-Moiith Method Used
(A Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright > SYDNEY. March 6 Mouth-to-mouth resuscitat.on revived a champion Corgi dog after he choked on a piece of meat today. His owner. Mrs Gwen McLean, a dog breeder of the outer suburb of Peakhurst. said she was feeding her dogs when she noticed that her champion breeder. Nandi Devi, had a piece of meat caught in his throat. ,‘T could see he was choking to death but I couldn’t get the meat out of his throat." she said. By the time she got the meat out, Devi had collapsed and his heart appeared to have stopped beating. “I rolled him on to his back, forced open his jaws and teeth, and breathed down his throat.” Mrs McLean said “After about five minutes I could detect a faint heartbeat. and then he started to breathe.”
The dog later recovered, and this afternoon was running around happily.
