Strawberry And Blue

(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) r.. , LONDON, March 4. Strawberry-and-blue coloured calves might be grazing British pastures next year, the “Sunday Telegraph” reported today. They would be the progeny of the crossing of recently imported Fren ’ charollais bulls with standard British breeds.

Results of the experimental breeding were expected to mark all crossbreds with th distinctive white of the French bulls, the newspaper said. This would dilute red and brown to stnwberrv, and black to blue.

The first calves under the scheme, operated by the British Milk Marketing Board, were expected at the end of December.
