Tax Returns By State Tenants

(N2. Pr«s» Associotton) AUCKLAND, March 4. State House tenants will be required to make an income return some time after March 31 so that assessments can be made for another possible rent increase. Forms and details of the return have not yet been drawn up by the State Advances Corporation. It may be some months before the “means test" returns are required. The Minister of Hearing (Mr Rae) said in Auckland today: “We don’t want the same problems we had with exemption cases after the State rental increase in October. I want this income return to work smoothly.”
