PUBLIC NOTICES JOINT HYDATID CONTROL COMMITTEE HYDATID DOSING PURSUANT to section 23 (lb) of the Hydatids Act. 1959, dog owners in the Reefton Town area are hereby notified that they are required to present all dogs owned by them or in their possession at the Old T.Q. dosing site on Saturday, March 10, between the hours of 8.30 a.m. and 10 am. Dogs to be treated must be in good health, and properly prepared for dosing. 1. Do NOT feed any bones for three to four days before dosing. 2. Dogs should have their last HEAVY meal twenty-four hours before dosing, a light meal the evening before dosing, and MUST have access to water at all times. Pregnant, oestrous. or lactating bitches should not be dosed. EXEMPTION FROM DOSING PURSUANT to section 29 of the Hydatids Act, 1959. any person who wishes to have their dog exempted from treatment for Hydatids, MUST produce to the Hydatid Control Inspector, a certificate issued by a registered Veterinary Surgeon certifying that—(a) Not earlier than one month before the date on which the certificate is so produced, the dog had been treated for Hydatids in a manner acceptable to. the Council, and containing a statement setting out the results of the diagnostic tests made at a testing station approved by the Council on the evacuated matter from the purging of the dog; or (b) The dog will not be in a fit condition to be treated for Hydatids for a period specified in the certificate, and that period has not expired.
