SUSPENDED FOR WEEK

Apprentice At Franklin ( N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. March 4. The Te Rapa apprentice, M. Peters, was suspended for a week by the judicial committee of the Franklin Racing Club after his mount, Don Filou, finished sixth in the Fulton Handicap at Pukekohe yesterday. The committee found Peters had committed a gross error of judgment in that he failed to carry out the riding instructions of his employer, the Te Rapa trainer, R. Cotter, when he had full opportunity to do so. Don Filou, which started a hot favourite, drifted from fifth place at the five furlongs until he was last on the home turn and then made a later run for sixth.
