HELICOPTER FOR RESCUE SERVICE

Used For Three Years In U.S. (N Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, F?b. 21. A helicopter which could be fully equipped with search and rescue facilities will arrive in New Zealand within the next few weeks, said the manager of a Wanganui firm, Mr J. W. Reid, today. The helicopter was now on the San Francisco wharves awaiting shipment to New Zealand, where it will be based at Nelson, said Mr Reid. The helicopter, which has been in use for three years in the United States, will be available to the New Zealand Search and Rescue Organisation when required. It will be used for general crane work about the country.
