Boxing TURNED TO WRESTLING
K. Lave In England (N.Z.P.A -Renter—Copyright) LONDON. February 21. The former heavy-weight boxing champion, Kitione Lave has turned to wrestling to raise the £lOOO to take his family back to Tonga, according to the 'Daily Sketch." Lave, who knocked out the former British world title challenger, D. Cockell, in two rounds, has not had a fight for 18 months
Lave said last night: “I'm fed up waiting for promoters to give me a ehance “I think wrestling is a sport with great opportunities. And this way I may be able to keep my promise to take my family to Tonga.” So far he haa had one bout. He lost it.
