THE PASQUE FLOWER.—Pulsatilla vulgaris is a welcome flower in spring, when its purple blooms, with their golden stamens, unfold. Spring is not the only season of attraction. In late summer, flower stalks are surmounted by silvery seed heads, which have a fascination of their own. Cut stems are occasionally offered by the florists. Planting may be carried out at almost any season if pot-grown plants are obtained. Give a semi-shady spot, and a soil which is not too sandy.
