Woman Not Guilty Of Manslaughter
( N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Feb. 15. A 22-year-old mother, Mauretania Patricia Rene Crompton, was acquitted by a jury in the Supreme Court at Wellington today of the manslaughter of her three-month-old daughter, Elsie Elaine Crompton. She was found guilty, however, of causing actual bodily harm, and also of wilfully illtreating another child in her custody, Moana Doreen Crompton. Mr Justice Hutchison remanded Crompton until Monday for sentence.
