Decision Next Week
Ten applicants for the position of general manager of the Christchurch-Lyttelton Road Tunnel Authority were interviewed by the authority, but a decision was deferred until another special meeting next Monday. The men interviewed were the finalists from 44 applicants. The original applications included some from overseas, but all interviewed on the "short list” were New Zealanders seven from Christchurch, and the others from Wellington. Dunedin and the West Coast After the meeting, the chair, man (Mr W S MacGibbon' said the authority had got down to a “short short list.” from which an appointment would be made next Monday.
