Country Girls’ Clubs’ Sports

The Christchurch district committee of Country Giris' Clubs held its annual sports day recently at Ashburton Technical College. Members attended from the Ashburton. Ellesmere, Mayfield, Rakaia and Waihora Clubs The tennis toumament, attracting a large number of entries, was won by Mrs S, Patterson and Miss H. Kendall (Ellesmere* from Misses M. Hardie and P. Moore (Ash burton).

Ashburton gained most points in swimming and athletics sports events, and won the cup for most points in aU events. Ellesmere was placed second. Rakaia thufcl.
