H Moore was admitted as a barrister and solicitor on the motion of Mr B McClelland Mr R L Kerr, who is already in practice as a solicitor, was admitted as a barrister on the motion of Mr R W Edgley Mr R F B ferry was admitted as a solicitor on the motion of Mr B G Dingwall Mr Arthur Vine, the new British trade commissioner for the South Island, will arrive in Christchurch today Mr Vine has been serving as British trade commissioner in Eastern Nigeria and previously in a similar capacity in Canada and East Africa • PA.)
The Presbytery of Christchurch last evening approved the appointment of Mr M Leadbetter to St Mark's parish. Riccarton Mr Leadbetter. who ts a former headmaster of Waitaki Boys High School, will be ordained and induced to his new nansh by the moderator (the Rev C R Spracketti on February 22 The charge ts to be delivered by the Rev A L Cardno and the preacher will be the Rev J S Scarleu Messrs D.
