WAITAKI SEAT
National Partv Nominations (NZ. Press Association) OAMARU. Jan. 29 When nominations closed with the Waltaki electorate secretary (Mr C. F. Jones’ yesterday, six had been received to go to a ballot from which win be sele’ted the National Partv candidate to contest the Waitak! seat in the Parlfa-r’cntary by-electior on March 10. The ballot will be held on February 8 No names were released, although Mr Jones said the nominations were widespread throughout the electorate. Candidates who had previously announced their Intention to offer themselves are Messrs W R. Laney Mayor of Oamaru: N. S Rmwn. a farmer, of Totara Valiev; and D J. Ralston, a farmer, of Waihao Forks.
