CATTLE IN DRY AREAS
Grazing Permitted On Crown Land (N.Z. Press Association) HASTINGS. January 19. Grazing for cattle from Hawke's Bay droutfst areas is available on Crown land, the Hawke’s Bay drought relief committee was told yesterday.
The committee is now caMing for apphcaftione from farmers waiting to take advantage of the offer and who are prepared to meet the conditinas laid down. In a statement today the committee said that a preliminary survey of several suitable grazing areas had been made and a more detailed survey would be undertaken next week.
First priority wil be given to breeding cows that have been run with the bull. Grazing will be on a community basis based on a three-mosytWy period.
