PUKEKOHE CUP
On Purpose May Win
"The Press” Special Service AUCKLAND, January 19. It seems likely that the finish will be between On Purpose and Woodlore in the Pukekohe Jubilee Cup at the Franklyn Racing Club's summer meeting tomorrow. Each is doing well and On Purpose, with 7-12, looks as though she might be on the verge of very good handicap form.
The Jubilee Cup will be the first leg of the T.A.B. double run over 10 furlongs and threequarters for £9OO. The second leg will be the Pokeno Handicap, seven furlongs, in which Dingwall and Descabella are good prospects. The ground has kept very firm and unless there is a sudden change in the spell of fine weather the going will be fast Selections:—
