Softball Games
The touring Australian women's softball team will begin its New Zealand programme with a match against Canterbury, winner of the recent national provincial tournament, in Christchurch on Saturday.
After this match the tourists will travel south for their fixtures against Southland in Invercargill and Otago in Dunedin. They will return to Christchurch for the first of a series of three tests against New Zealand, on January 27. The Australians will travel to Greymouth to oppose the West Coast representatives on January 30, and the rest of the games will be played in the North Island. The second and third tests will be played in Auckland on February 17 and in Wellington on February 24, the latter match being the last on the tour.
