Softball TEAM TO PLAY AUSTRALIA
The Canterbury women’s softball team to play Australia at English Park on Saturday was selected last night. The players are:— B. Makinson (captain), N. Beale, M. Gaskell, J. Batie, H. Johnson (vice-captain), L. Parish, C. Brown, C. Mullally. J. Hudson, M. Wright, E. Law, M. Hapuku. M. D. Bell will be manager-coach and Mrs M. Makinson chaperone. T. Tubou was not available.
The senior B team to play Marlborough in a curtainraiser to the main gtme is:— L. Honeyman (vice-cap-tain). J. Gaskell, L. Alston, *l. Jones, J. Scott, J. Timms, J. Phillips (captain), K. McCormick, J. Kimber, K. Timms, J. Hobbs. The joint managers will be Misses B. Makinson and N. Beal. Miss M. Huggin* will be chaperone Men’s Team*
